Privacy policy
Last updated 24 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and in working with you, why, and what rights you have. The controller of your information is Skerryvore OÜ, trading as Skerryvore Advisory, registry code 17620988, registered address Tööstuse tn 75-71, Põhja-Tallinna linnaosa, Tallinn, Harju maakond, 10416, Estonia. Contact us about anything in this policy at Will@SkerryvoreAdvisory.com.
What we collect
- When you request the example Deal Screen: your first and last name, email address, optional phone number, and your answers to three questions (where you are buying, where you are with a deal, and the rough asking price).
- When you book a call: your name, email address, the time you choose and your answers to the booking questions.
- When you email us, speak to us or engage us: what you send or tell us, including information about the business you are considering.
- When you use the website: aggregate statistics such as pages viewed, referring site, country and device type. Our analytics does not use cookies and does not identify you.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To send you the example Deal Screen and occasional emails on assessing deals, with your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email.
- To arrange and hold calls you book, and to prepare a proposal if you ask for one: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- To deliver an engagement under a signed engagement letter: performance of that contract.
- To keep accounting and business records the law requires: legal obligation.
- To keep the website secure and understand how it is used, in aggregate: our legitimate interests.
We only use your phone number if you book a call or ask us to call you. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf and under contract: Microsoft (email, calendar and video calls), Kit (our email list), Cal.com (call booking) and Cloudflare (website hosting, security and analytics). We may also share information with our professional advisers and insurers where needed, or where the law requires it.
International transfers
Some of these providers are based in, or store information in, the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the provider’s certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Our director works from Bermuda and accesses information under the same safeguards.
How long we keep it
- Mailing list details: until you unsubscribe. We keep a minimal record of your email address so we don’t contact you again.
- Enquiries and call notes where no engagement follows: up to two years after our last contact.
- Engagement and accounting records: for the period Estonian law requires, currently seven years.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive a copy in a portable form, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email us and we will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, www.aki.ee) or to the data protection authority where you live.
We also comply with Bermuda’s Personal Information Protection Act 2016 where it applies.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be notified to people on our mailing list.
